Minor Arcana Study Guide
Minor Arcana cards use one shared formula (X + Suit), but there are two different interpretation engines:
- Number cards (Ace-10): X is a phase in a cycle (beginning, challenge, completion, etc.).
- Court cards (Page, Knight, Queen, King): X is a role/archetype (student, mover, nurturer, leader).
Use the matching matrix below depending on whether the card is a number card or a court card. These are separate tables because they answer different questions: number cards describe a cycle stage (process/timeline), while court cards describe a role/archetype (who or how the energy appears).
Number Card Matrix (Ace-10)

| Three | creative expansion | joyful connection | painful insight | teamwork/building |
| Four | rest after effort | emotional pause | mental rest | secure foundation |
| Five | competition/friction | grief/loss | conflict/defeat | material hardship |
| Six | public progress | nostalgia/healing | transition to calmer waters | give/receive support |
